Although Palin claimed to have visited troops in Iraq in two different stories, she recently admitted neither was true. She and McCain apparently tried to drown that news by releasing a spectacularly false ad. This article also has a nice summary of McCain making an idiot of himself on The View.And today on Face the Nation, McCains spokespeople insisted it wasn't a lie till they were blue in the face. Yes she was in Iraq, but only a few feet from a border checkpoint. So according to them, that means she was in Iraq. Talk about splitting hairs!
